The Zakona family claims descent from the first group of settlers settling Sharlayan alongside Nyunkrepf Nyunkrepfsyn. The family, through its enatic line inheritance, exercised some minor influence upon Sharlayan over its history.Uva is the youngest daughter of the current Zakona matriarch, Beata Zakona. Her father died when she was young. Typical for Sharlayan children of upper status, she was fond of reading and writing, taking a keen interest in the Allagans and in faerie tales. Her mother was religious, and instilled a reverence for Thaliak into Uva from a young age. She graduated from the Studium, finding work examining Allagan relics.β β DARK&STORMY NIGHT. π§
Uva, bullied often for her weight and for her obsession with faerie tales, was an easy target for unsavory elements in society. She found her solace in the mouth of a reactionary political group, New Ark-Ecclesia, her membership in the secret society an open secret.From her mouth, the sweetest lullabies, charming tales, now cut with words of iron and dental nihilism, an obsession with knights and rot and princesses and violence. Her magical acumen has also attracted the eyes of yet more of the shadowy parts of society.

Uva is a not-so-secret member of a fascist movement in Sharlayan, called New Ark-Ecclesia. They espouse highly reactionary politics, including anti-immigrant, pro-Garlean, and anti-Eorzean stances, plus a belief that an all-powerful "Captain" is needed to overrule the Forum if they act in opposition to the nation. It's often a source of confusion amongst new contacts, given her usual whimsical ways.β β TWO. π‘Έ
Before anything, Uva is a fan of faerie tales. They were her sole comfort growing up. She's willing to put aside any sort of preconceived notions about anyone to hear a new one, or talk about her favorites. Or, perhaps, you are a creature fit for a faerie tale yourself.

Uva's research specialty is in relics, especially Allagan relics. Her group believes them to be Sharlayan cultural heritage. She has written many papers about the practical applications of various Allagan relics. Currently, she is relocated, her focus now turned to something in the hinterlands of Dravania, near the old colony.β β FOUR. π‘Έ
While many involved in the world of Sharlayan politicking at least have heard of New Ark and know of their public policies, few know of the hushed rituals performed in their secret halls. Perhaps you'll notice small cuts on her body, hastily covered up with long sleeves and dresses, or you'll note her obsession with teeth, including the pair fastened to her ears.

Uva can be a tough one to speak to, gravely and abrasive and downright evil down to the core once her candy shell has been thoroughly melted away. One would not be faulted for shying away from her, but, should you have other business with her, she may be willing to lend an ear.
